Responsibility

commitment to the developing world

While the global pharmaceutical industry has reached new heights in terms of research and development, production, and marketing, these advances have not always percolated into the developing world. Patients and physicians often encounter limited access to global supplies of specialty treatments due to international, political and economic challenges, global demand fluctuations, and trade restrictions.

At Boston Oncology, we believe that citizens of the developing world should not have to travel abroad for high-quality medical care or settle for inferior products. These regions have the demand, economic resources, and human drive to become world-class players in the global health care industry.

Accordingly, we are committed to fulfilling not just an economic need, but a human need. We seek to forge strong partnerships with the medical community and create “shared value” – an idea trumpeted by esteemed thought leaders of business. Together, we will show that economic success and social progress are interdependent and complementary.
